Privacy Policy
The short version: LoopX runs on your Mac, and the LoopX project does not receive your tasks, mail, code or credentials. This page explains the details for the app and for this website.

Who this applies to
This policy covers the LoopX desktop app and command line tool (the “app”) and the website at loopx.ranbot.online (the “website”). LoopX is an open-source project maintained by Encore Shao.
02
The app: your data stays on your Mac
The app is local first. Its configuration, run history, logs and instructions are stored on your computer, under ~/.loopx and related folders. Tokens and other secrets are stored in the macOS Keychain, never in plain files.
The LoopX project does not operate a service that receives this data. We cannot see your issues, email, calendar, code or credentials.
03
Services you connect
LoopX works by calling services you choose to connect, such as GitLab, GitHub, Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack and the AI CLI you select. When a loop runs, the relevant content (for example an issue, a mail message or a diff) is sent from your Mac to those services, using your own accounts and keys.
Those providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies, and your account settings with them apply. Review what you connect and what each loop is allowed to do. You can disconnect any connector or turn off any loop at any time.
04
The website: what we collect
This website is a static site. It sets no cookies, does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and does not store anything in your browser. The copy-to-clipboard button and the screenshot slideshow work entirely in your browser.
Like any web server, the server that hosts the site records standard access logs: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and your browser’s user-agent. We use these only to keep the site running, to troubleshoot and to detect abuse, and they are kept for a limited period.
05
Links and downloads
The website links to GitHub for downloads, source code and documentation, and the Homebrew install command fetches from GitHub. Those services have their own privacy practices that apply once you leave this site.
06
Your choices and rights
Because the app keeps your data on your own machine, you control it directly: edit or delete the files in ~/.loopx, remove secrets from the Keychain, or uninstall the app.
If you are in a region with data protection law, such as the EU, UK or California, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. For the small amount of log data described above, contact us and we will respond. We do not sell personal information.
07
Children
LoopX is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
08
Changes to this policy
If the app or website starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its “Last updated” date before the change takes effect.
